Where are we racing?

I often wonder how it's possible for everyone one to score good grades in Education. But in most of the Asian households education is everything. Sometimes children are looked as investments. Parents invest on children and hope for a good return in the name that it's good for ourselves. But solidly this Academic failure and the race in academics gives us a feel of failure in our life. Is it really okay for us to fail in academics. Either become a doctor or engineer or else you are a failure it's a common tantrum people go through in their life. Are we really living the life that we want to live or we just living a life that someone feels that it's good for ourselves. Actually how do we want ourselves to live in this world. Why did we chain ourselves to an extent that there is no place for other chains. Then is it really that some of us are unlucky to live far away from our desired life whatever it is it's absolute normal for us to live with unfulfilled dreams or desires. It's just that we are still not out of the race and we have plenty of time to continue in this race.

Paper Vs Glass

On my way to my stay from my college, I witness a incident which disturbed me but not anymore. There is a construction going on near my stay and the workers are migrants from other state. I occasionally meet them in the tea shop. I get tea in a glass cup which is reusable and the tea master offers them their tea in a paper cup. Come on it's 2024 but still it's an issue. Historically the caste struggle has just shifted into class struggle by the so called educated people. In a society struggle is inevitable. I can't be in a utopian state to ask for a society without any struggles. Is it right ?

I went to temple yesterday while returning I saw a mom and her son decently dressed, they stopped me on my way I asked her enna akka (What sis). She extended her need for money stating that because of rains her job dealing with sand lifting was stopped for days and she is in need of some money to satisfy her needs and it's tough with her son he is a boy who is 12 years old (approx.). I barely had 20 rupees in my Gpay and a currency note of 200 which I carry for emergency. I had no cash left as I spent money just before that. I felt their plead genuine so I gave the only currency note I have. I am happy that I could help them but after few steps I saw a old lady who usually sells flower outside the temple and I bought flowers for 100 before entering the temple. Punishment for being a Victim...

In this world there are certain incidents were we are punished for others action. Like us being passive smokers. My nose can't stand the smell of the cigarette I cough in a instant when someone near me takes a puff. Like this there are several incidents where most of us are not responsible for the inconveniences we face. We are not the primary stakeholders for the mischievous things that happen around us but we become victims. When we step out we feel I am not responsible for this surrounding being this dirty, the potholes in the roads, the clogged drains in the streets, people starving under bridges, the traffic getting worse, long que in the government office and what not.
